Digital transformation only works on a path that fits your company.
We bet on clarity, commitment and impact. That's our mission — and the way we work with you.
Where we stand
Digital transformation isn't an adventure. It's craft.
There's no standard formula for digital transformation. Every company is unique – in its digital history, its structures, its business model, and the know-how of its people. That's the status quo we want to understand first, before we get to work on your digital future with you.
Clarity, certainty, and a long view: those are the attributes we equip you and your team with to take your company to a new, digital level. Only when we make complex technologies understandable and usable can their potential really be unlocked.
That's why we involve the people who'll actually use the systems as often as we can – from choosing the software all the way to defining the processes. Because every IT solution is only as good as the people who live it. And that's why those people are always at the centre of what we do.
Values
Mantra? Spirit? Attitude? We just call it PASSION4IT.
Three principles that shape our daily work — inside and out.
- Change
- We want to change our clients' working world for the better. But to get the best possible result, we have to live that change ourselves – adjust to new conditions, use the latest technologies, and stay curious.
- Ambition
- We don't give up – and we're certainly not easily satisfied. Once we've set our minds on the best possible outcome, we'll get there.
- Transfer
- In no time we become a virtual member of our clients' teams: we understand the business model, feel the company culture, and spot the real need. We translate all of that into tailor-made solutions that deliver impact.

FAQ
Where should I start with digital transformation?
Everyone talks about digital transformation, but no one really knows where to begin. Understandable – there's an enormous amount to keep in mind. It's often unclear how to set out, which topic to tackle first, and which path is best. A single wrong step costs you a lot of time and money. That's where we come in: we take mid-sized companies across all industries safely into their digital future. We firmly believe that any open questions and needs are best clarified in a personal conversation. That's why we recommend starting with our no-obligation digital exchange, which opens the door to your digital future. You'll meet our managing director, Christian Kirsch, face to face to figure out how a collaboration could look – free of charge and with no strings attached.
Do you also sell hardware (servers, laptops) or software (e.g. Microsoft 365 licences)?
No, unfortunately we don't. We focus on vendor-neutral consulting and project management for our clients' digital transformation projects. That way we can be sure we always find the best solution for the client – instead of building solutions around our current hardware or software portfolio. But you can still get everything from a single point of contact: we tap into a very large partner network whenever it's needed.
What is the Digital Summit Community?
The Digital Summit Community is a digital community of our clients and partners. Because digital transformation doesn't stop at the office door or company gate, we created the Digital Summit Community to spark exchange across industries and companies. In a fifteen-minute "Digital Summit Coffee," members connect and talk about digital topics. Free, no obligation, and 100% anonymous. The principle is simple: a random generator regularly pairs you up with one or more members and sends a calendar invite for a virtual coffee break. You can sign up free of charge at any time. Once you've verified your email address, you pick the days and times you'd like to receive invites – and off you go. We're glad you're joining in. Happy networking!
Why did you open the RiverRoom?
We were looking for a fitting location for our workshops, trainings, and events for a long time. After we couldn't find anything suitable in the region, our founder, Christian, simply decided to build something fitting himself. The result is an inspiring location on the river Regen in the town of Viechtach – now used regularly by PASSION4IT, regional companies, and even a very active yoga community for events of all kinds. You'll find more information and the booking platform on the RiverRoom website.
What does an IT strategy consultation involve?
Want to find out whether your company is ready for the digital future? If so, our IT strategy consulting is exactly the right path for you. We start with our Digital Check to determine your digital maturity. In four steps, you'll get not only answers but concrete recommendations for action on your way to a successful digital future. We kick off together by assembling your digital team – made up of management, business units, and IT. Next, every team member completes our questionnaire of around one hundred questions, which covers every aspect of your digital level in two to four hours. We then analyse the responses based on our expertise and best practices. The result: a digital roadmap for the next three to five years that takes you safely to your goal. And if you'd like, we'll walk that road with you.
Why is cyber security so important?
The number of cyber attacks against companies in every industry – and against public authorities – is rising rapidly as digital transformation continues. The quality of attacks is also steadily increasing. Cyber security is therefore becoming an essential prerequisite for averting economic damage. We help you protect your company against cyber attacks. Our trained Cyber Security Practitioners help you get an overview of the current threat landscape and develop concrete recommendations for action. We also raise your team's awareness of the dangers in cyberspace through targeted awareness training, and we work with you to develop a governance strategy in the form of policies and guidelines.
Do you only work with large clients?
No – our smallest client has 7 employees, our largest has 30,000. What matters to us is whether we can create real value; the size of the company plays only a secondary role. We advise mid-sized companies across all industries from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with a focus between 10 and 1,000 employees. The only exception is the defence industry: for ethical reasons we categorically decline to work in that sector.
How do environmental protection and digital transformation fit together?
IT companies and active environmental protection. At first glance, that often seems about as compatible as a V8 petrol engine and the Green Party. So people think. But today's younger entrepreneurs combine professional skill with a deep understanding of ecological connections and the need to act. The goal many people can't yet reconcile in their heads: simplifying the working world through digitalisation while keeping and shaping the world as a place worth living in. Ecological awareness is deeply rooted in the DNA of PASSION4IT. Maybe it's our love for the mountains, for the Bavarian Forest where our team is firmly rooted, or simply being parents and looking ahead to the next generations. For all of these reasons, we launched our "NET ZERO 2025" project, with the goal of becoming climate-positive by 2025. We donate more than 1% of our annual revenue to non-profit environmental organisations chosen by our employees. Through that, we have, for example, sponsored an orangutan, an orca, and a humpback whale. We have also already bought and protected more than 3,000 m² of wilderness in Canada and the Peruvian rainforest via a foundation. Now that we've produced a CO₂ balance, we've had a local company forest planted with more than 3,200 trees, so we can make the topic of "climate action" tangible on our doorstep too.
Does the paperless office really exist?
No. But a paper-light office is a worthwhile goal – and a huge efficiency lever for process digitalisation and mobile working.
My order books are full – why should I change anything now?
Full order books give you security. But if those orders can only be fulfilled slowly because of supply shortages or missing skilled workers, customers often stop relying on long-standing partnerships. The question "Who can deliver?" moves to the foreground. The digitalised competitor with intelligent supply chains, semi-automated production, and more resource-efficient processes quickly takes the lead. New legislation can also pose a particular challenge for small and mid-sized companies, requiring them to operate more sustainably. With our expertise, you bring the knowledge and experience you need to compete in this environment into your company.
Can I afford to digitalise my company?
The counter-question is: can you afford not to invest in digital transformation now? It's a fair question to ask, though, because digital transformation costs money. And the cost stays high if you don't adjust your processes alongside it. A lot will change in your company, and you'll meet resistance. If you're not willing to invest in all of these dimensions (digitalisation, processes, change management) – and that doesn't only mean money – you should think it over again. PASSION4IT has a very transparent pricing model: we always invoice based on actual effort at the end of each month, on the basis of activity records. Our quotes always represent a maximum budget, which we hit 95% of the time. If something does take more effort, we notice it early, talk it through, and find a partnership-based solution. If we're faster – which often happens – you save the unused budget or invest it in other topics that move you forward digitally.
Are you always on-site during a project, or do you only work remotely?
The magic word is hybrid. Especially at the start of a partnership or a project, despite all the "digital work" it's important to meet in person and develop a feel for the challenges. So we're happy to come on-site to your company in that phase. Over time, most things can be steered and solved remotely via video call (camera always on!). That's also the better path in terms of ecology and cost efficiency.
